Bird Rock

Prominent rock exposed to north through north-northwest swell, hitting at high to near-full strength. Northwest follows at moderate to high exposure. The island blocks south through southwest energy completely, making it a reliable haven in summer. The lee side is often calm, but stiff surface currents can occur past the rock's shadow.
