Breakers Reef

East-facing reef parallel to Palm Beach. The Florida coast provides complete protection from westerly swells, but catches full Atlantic energy from north through south. Gulf Stream runs directly over this reef, creating strong currents. North swells hit especially hard with no offshore attenuation.
