West-southwest-facing beach with WSW swells hitting at moderate-high exposure—the strongest direction here. West and southwest follow at moderate levels. South through SSE see low-moderate exposure, while north through east are well protected behind Palos Verdes. The Redondo Submarine Canyon begins very close to shore, bringing cold upwellings and creating vertical walls just a short kick from the sand.
