North-facing cove on Anacapa's north shore, well-shielded from all southern and southeastern swell by the island mass. Primary exposure is to northerly energy - swells from the north, north-northwest, and north-northeast arrive with significant strength. Northwest swell wraps into the cove at moderate levels, while westerly energy is partially blocked by the island's western headland. Excellent conditions during south swells; can become challenging during strong northern winter storms.
