Carysfort Reef

Southeast-facing reef at the northern tip of the Keys reef tract. Key Largo blocks west swells completely, but northern position means less protection from north-northeast swells than other Keys sites. Northeast through south Atlantic swells arrive at full strength. Shallow formations provide some wave attenuation.
